Nobody Came- the appalling true story of brothers cruelly abused in a Jersey care home -by Robbie Garner with Toni Maguire.
This true story follows Robbie through his childhood. Living with his alcoholic mother, older brother John, younger brother Davie and baby sister Denise. His father Stanley tries to take his own life, which causes police to become involved and they remove the children from their parents.
Robbie, Davie and Denise are taken to Sacre Couer, an orphanage. Denise is taken to the girls sections where the boys have no idea what has happened to her. John is taken to another place Haut de la Garenne. The boys suffer abuse of all sorts within the orphanage.
Eventually Robbie is removed from Sacre Couer and put into Haut de la Garenne. His older brother John has already left there and is awaiting his brother's release.
Horrific and torturious things happen at Haur de la Garenne.
Upon his 15th birthday Robbie is released and he and John set up home together, awaiting Davie's release which is two years away.
Haut de la Garenne became under investigation when a child's skull was found beneath their building.

Shane you haven't checked your facts. No skull was found at Haut de la Garenne, and this book is full of lies. I know 'cause I was there and the descriptions of places are wrong.
The author of the first comment did not explain that there were many milk teeth and bones, some bones even cut and with the appearance of being deliberately burnt, found buried in the underground punishment rooms.
The alleged scull fragment itself was later forensically determined to have been found in an excavation level not likely linked to the same abuse investigation. But even then, that fragment, containing human collagen, seems to have been deliberately switched and replaced with a piece of wood or shell.
Given the switch of samples and mysterious dissapearance of the much more suspicious teeth and bone evidence, the controversy over the skull fragment should in no way be taken as proof there were no child murders at Haut de la Garenne.
The government of Jersey, where a huge portion of the world's weath is diverted to offshore banks, has orchestrated a massive cover-up. When the truth is finally known about the official role of covering up this horrific murderous child abuse, it could bring the entire crooked government down. That is why there are always such quick comments by alleged witnesses disputing the level of real abuse.
For facts, google Jersey's Senator "Stuart Syvret," and check out his internationally read blogspot. He has spent years providing hard documentation of corruption and cover-ups regarding Jersey's systematically abused children.
